Useful Programs

Here is just a list of the various programs that I use. Scroll down more and you will find security programs. *ALL ARE FREE*

  The GIMP- basically a free version of Photoshop.

  Pandora-All you have to do is just enter in a a name of a song and the artist and it will basically make a whole radio station based off of that song's genre. Works really well.

 Celestia-View all the planets, moons, comets, stars, and more. Amazing!

 Google Earth- See the whole world with this great program. Zoom in, Zoom out. Do things like find famous places or even find your house!

 Magic DVD Ripper- DVD ripper that works great!(WARNING: It is only a trial)

 Blender- Free 3d imaging program (confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it works great!)

 Gamemaker- Want to make your own free game, but don't want to bother with coding? Well this is the best alternative! Just make an account (its free) and download. Use the tutorial that's provided and you can be on your way to making professional looking games in days!  CCleaner- Tired with your slow, dumb computer or just want to get rid of all the junk that gets built up over time? If so, then use this and you will be thankful! 

 OpenOffice.org -Basically Microsoft Office with word processor, spreadsheet, presentation package, and database, FREE!!!! Never need to pay for microsft office again!

   LogMeIn- Access your files from home that are on any other computer or access your files that are on your home computer from any other computer.(use the easy steps. A few problems, but nothing that is harmful or doesnt work)

  iTunes- No ipod needed. Play all your favorite music, rip songs, and even listen to the radio online with itunes!

  AIM- Instant message your friends online with the latest vesion of AOL Instant Messager

Secure your Computer

Here are just a few ENTIRELY FREE programs that will assist you in keeping your computer secure.

1. Spybot Search and Destroy- This will permit you to keep your computer protected from spy ware, which may be slowing down your system.

2. Trend Micro House Call-  If installing anti spy ware and anti virus programs isn’t your thing, well then undertake this great alternative. This runs in your internet browser and works great.

3.Lavasoft- Analogous to Spybot Search and Destroy. Works identically.

4. ZoneAlarm- Free firewall that watches your in and out internet connections and helps protect against spy ware and hackers. Make sure you download the basic one instead of the trial. 

5. AVG Anti Virus- Utilize this to notify those viruses to go away and by no means come back another time.

6.Panda ActiveScan- Runs in your browser so you won’t have to install anything. This works great and is restructured daily. It can inspect emails and files as well!
